A Comparative Study of Different Approaches for Stability- Indicating Determination of Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride in Presence of Its Acidic-Induced Degradation Product

چکیده

This work describes five simple, specific and accurate spectrophotometric methods which developed and validated for determination of moxifloxacin hydrochloride in presence of its acidic degradation product without previous separation, namely; bivariate, graphical absorbance ratio, area under the curve, simultaneous equation and dual wavelength. Calibration graphs were established in the range of 1-9 μg/ml with good correlation coefficients. The developed methods have been successfully applied for the simultaneous analysis of moxifloxacin hydrochloride in its pharmaceutical dosage form. The methods were validated as per ICH guidelines; accuracy, precision and repeatability were found to be within the acceptable limit. Khalid Abdel-Salam M. Attia, Mohammed Wafaa I. Nassar, Mohamed A.
